Malcom Gray

Monday 8th October 2018 - Congratulations to Malcolm from Pulborough in West Sussex who is the lucky £1000 winner in today’s draw!

Thank you for the good news! My lottery win will go towards my Isles of Scilly holiday next year.

My wife {Jane} and I, love the islands and are holidaying on St Marys most years, our first being our honeymoon 21 years ago.

My Favourite spot is Porthcressa Beach, whenever we arrive, this is the first spot that we want to just sit and unwind, it feels like we have arrived home. It is also the last place before going home, we stare out to sea and say - if only we could stay, but there’s always next year.

Thank you once again, I have attached a picture of myself standing on Harry’s Walls in June of this year.

"WOW that's great news, I'm speechless, especially after just celebrating my 7 years wedding anniversary and now waking up to this I'm really speechless!! We are in the middle of decorating so hopefully this will go towards the house and finishing off our family room for our little one to play in. Many thanks again!!"

Monday 13th August 2018 - Congratulations to Steve, here on St Mary's who is our lucky £1000 winner today!

"Wow! Groovy! Thank you Radio Scilly. I missed the announcement - been rather busy outside. What a lovely surprise!

We are in the middle of building a decking area in the garden (on top of renovating the house). The money will ease the financial burden.

Favourite pic? Well, we moved here last year from Newlyn - not far, but a world away. We just love Scilly. Been coming here for years. My partner, Nicola, rows in Nornour (one of the most beautiful gigs) and I am helping with the World Pilot Gig Championships, so couldn’t resist this one …

Nic rowed in her to St Martins (that’s her crouching down). I was waiting with camera. We went to the Seven Stones where the folk festival was happening. A beautiful day - gigs, sunshine, beer and music in a stunning location. What could be better?

Once again, many thanks.

Steve"

Monday 2nd July 2018 - Congratulations to Stephen in Exeter who is our lucky winner today!

"Wow. That’s great and unexpected news! We first travelled to Scilly in 1980. We’re back again in about 8 weeks. We reckon this will be our 52nd trip/stay (still a beginner compared with some we know).   We’ve made many good friends over the years during our visits. One of our mainland pleasures is to try to meet up with some of them  a couple of times a year.   See you soon. Steve & Chrissie Jackson This picture was taken a few years ago by friends we met who were staying on Bryher. Shipman head in the background. A favoured place on Scilly."

Jill Packham

Monday 18th June 2018 - Congratulations to Jill of Trowbridge, Wiltshire who is our lucky winner in today's £1000 draw!

Great news from Jill!  She is going to spend her winnings on the Islands!!

What a lovely surprise to win the Scilly Lottery! I first came to Scilly for my first honeymoon in 1964 - I had a gap of several years because I had 3 children under 5. We come every year ( especially as my son bought a home in St. Mary’s a few years ago.

The money will be spent in Scilly next year. Also we are celebrating our Silver Wedding in September and taking my family out for a meal ( 15 of them!) .They will now be able to have a starter and a pudding!

We are sending a photo of sunset over Samson. Please don’t change Scilly!

Ruth Pilgrim

Monday 11th June 2018 - Congratulations to Ruth from Romford, Essex who is our lucky £1000 winner today!

Thanks to Ruth for getting in touch and for sharing some great Scilly pics!

I was so excited to see I’d won your lottery for the second time. My sister bought me a years subscription some years ago and I won in the first year which I immediately spent on coming back to the Isles of Scilly. I then decided to carry on with it as it would take some years to spend the equivalent of the money I’d won. Unfortunately we’ve not really been able to afford more trips but that may change due to my win so thank you very much for the chance.
Our love of Scilly started when we took a day trip from Penzance when we were there for the eclipse in 1999 and we knew that we just had to come back and we did several times so hopefully next year we can do so again.
