 What is a podcast?
 A podcast is an audio file usually downloaded to your iPod or mp3 player. You 'subscribe' to podcasts and whenever a new file becomes available, it is automatically downloaded for your use.
 
 Do I need an mp3 player to receive a podcast?
 No, you can subscribe to a podcast and have the latest Radio Scilly News sent to your computer every day by simply downloading a podcast program (or 'aggregator') and clicking on our orange RSS link. We recommend 'Juice' for podcast downloading for its simplicity - see http://juicereceiver.sourceforge.net/. We regret that we cannot offer individual one-to-one support with receiving our podcasts.
 
 How much does it cost?
 Radio Scilly does not charge for podcast downloading at time of writing.
 
 Are podcasts live?
 No, podcasts are pre-recorded content made available for 'listen again' purposes on our website.
 
 What is RSS?
 RSS stands for Real Simple Syndication, which means that you can subscribe to content and it comes to you - much like our e-mail newsletter or if you have a newspaper delivered to your home. We make RSS 'feeds' at Radio Scilly and when a user 'subscribes' to them using their podcast software, they are automatically alerted when we update our podcast content. So when a new news bulletin becomes available, it will automatically be downloaded to your computer FOR YOU if you're using RSS.
 
 What address or URL should I put into my podcast software?
 Our RSS feed is located at http://www.radioscilly.com/podcast. Your software should be able to pick up our feed from there.
 
 Do I HAVE to use podcasting or RSS feeds?
 No - we provide a direct download link to each mp3 file we podcast, although we regret we do not currently archive the files in this manner. Archived news files are available to users of our RSS feed.
