Radio Scilly is based above Island Properties in Porthmellon, St Mary's. Each weekday between 7am and 12 noon, we broadcast up to 10 minutes of local news from the islands on the hour. Our news is sourced in the afternoons by Keri Jones - after he comes off air following a mammoth 5-hour air shift! He spends most of the afternoon wondering around with an mp3 recorder for his stories, and then returns to the office to edit the audio in time for air the following morning.

Despite being so 'short-staffed' - Radio Scilly still delivers 7-10 minutes of local news after the national news, nearly every day of the year - a feat most mainland radio stations could never accomplish!
