It was announced last monththat the Mali Rose will cease operation and be disposed of as soon as possible.

The Mali Rose will make her last scheduled sailing to the Isles of Scilly tonight.

She will leave Penzance at approximately 6.30pm tonight and freight will be unloaded on St Mary’s tomorrow morning. She will return to Penzance at around 9.30am.

Islanders and visitors can win tickets for the new helicopter between Penzance and Scilly in exchange for sharing their views on how it will operate.

The team behind the new helicopter route has launched a survey to ensure it provides the best possible service for the islands when it launches in spring 2020.

The Isles of Scilly has the second lowest levels of depression of all neighbourhoods in England, according to new analysis by The Guardian.

The lowest rate was in the affluent area around London zoo in Westminster, where 3.1% of NHS patients were depressed. Scilly was second on 3.2%.
