There were 87 reported crimes on the Isles of Scilly in the 12 months up to May 2019. The number is 7 less than last year, a fall of 7.4%. 

The Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust has asked islanders and visitors to help protect a family of birds on Porthhellick. The Trust has cordoned off an area of the St Mary's beach after the family of ringed plovers were found nesting.  

The Scilly Laughs comedy festival returns to the islands next weekend. Now in its 5th year, the most South Westerly comedy festival in the UK will see some of the very best comedians on the UK circuit perform on the islands of St Mary’s, Tresco, St Martin’s and St Agnes.
