The bollard lighting in front of the Five Islands Academy and Wellbeing Centre has been destroyed in what the Council described as a "serious act of vandalism". 

All the installations are "beyond repair" following the incident, which happened last Thursday night or the early hours of Friday morning. 

Two islanders who appear in a More4 documentary series have said they felt "proud' to be a part of it.

Devon & Cornwall, which filmed on the islands for several weeks last year,  follows people living and working in the far South West corner of Britain.

The Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust has spoken out after discovering that people are starting fires within the grounds of the old church on St Helen’s.

The Trust’s Rangers found the remnants of a fire pit inside the ancient monument on the island.
