The work needed on the children’s play parks on the islands will not be as expensive as originally feared.

Islanders and visitors have been reminded of the need to save water ahead of the new season. The Council said that efforts must be made to avoid a repeat of last summer’s shortages.

Ann Widdecombe and Rachel Johnson will be on the ballot when Scilly goes to the polls for the European elections next month. Scilly will go to the polls on May 23rd unless the UK has left the EU before that date. A  by-election for a new Councillor for St Mary’s will be held at the same time, the candidates for which will be announced tomorrow.
