The islands vet has warned dog owners on the islands to steer clear of Porthloo slip on St Mary's.

Natural England is on the islands to talk about plans to extend the Isles of Scilly’s Special Protection Area by almost 13,000 hectares. There is a public drop-in at Tresco Community Hall today between 4pm and 7pm and sessions took place on the other islands earlier this month.

The Isles of Scilly Wildlife Trust has introduced its second Beach Clean Bin at Porthhellick on St Mary's. Following the success of the first bin on Wingletang, St Agnes over the winter period, the Trust said it is now trialling a second bin and seeing how they both fare over the summer.
