Packed Crowd At St John's Hall For Penzance Heliport Meeting

The public meeting on the proposed heliport In Penzance took place yesterday evening at St John's Hall.

A packed crowd squeezed in to share their views and hear the for and against arguments for the heliport.

In attendance were representatives from Penzance Heliport Ltd, The Isles of Scilly Steamship Group as well as members from the Council of the Isles of Scilly and Penzance Council.

The planning application for Penzance Heliport will be heard on Thursday, 2nd August, 2018 at a meeting of Cornwall Council’s Strategic Planning Committee with a decision expected the following week. 

Alexander Rodger who was in attendance spoke to Will this morning to give us an overview of the meeting.

Will started off by asking Alexander to tell us what the atmosphere was like in St John's Hall.
