A rare Belted Kingfisher has been seen in the Isles of Scilly this week.
The Belted Kingfisher, which is native to North America was first seen around Porthhelick on St Mary's on Wednesday afternoon.
Local Ornithologist and nature expert Will Wagstaff described hearing that a Belted Kingfisher had been seen on Scilly as "one of those magical moments."
There have only ever been 4 recorded sightings of the bird in the UK.
