Yorkshire Carnegie V Cornish Pirates Preview

The Pirates will be hoping for another victory when they head up to Leeds to take on Yorkshire Carnegie at Headingley in the 5th round of the Greene King IPA Championship on Sunday.

After a dramatic match at the Mennaye Field in Penzance last weekend where the Pirates picked up the victory in a 109 point thriller against Rotherham Titans the Pirates will be somewhat disappointed to have given away so many points and will be looking to tighten up at the back.

Its shaping up to be another great match with Carnegie sitting just 2 places and 2 points above the Pirates in the Championship table in what is already a very tight table.

Coaches Alan Paver and Gavin Cattle have had the squad working hard on their set pieces and discipline which has caused the Pirates to drop some points in previous weeks.

Pirates Fly Half/Full Back Laurence May spoke to Will this week to share his thoughts ahead of this weekend's match against Yorkshire Carnegie - listen below.
