The Five Islands School Year 5&6 Tennis Team won the Cornwall Schools tennis finals at the Dragon leisure Centre in Bodmin.

As a team they played "brilliant doubles tennis throughout the day" according to PE teacher Adam May who accompanied them on the Trip

They won all of there first round box matches, narrowly beating Stratton in the Semifinals and then Nancledra in a epic final, the girls winning there doubles 11-9 and the boys 10-6.

This is the second successive year the school has won a tennis event at the Level 3 games competition.

If you play the Scilly Lottery you have made this trip possible - so thank you on behalf of all those who have benefited and from us at Radio Scilly.

As well being able to give away the £1000 weekly prize the Scilly Lottery allows Radio Scilly through the Scilly Lottery to award money to local groups and organisations such as the Five Islands School PE Department so children and adults alike can take part in events like this.

If you would like to take part in the Scilly Lottery and have the chance of winning £1000 every week and help us fund further trips and help out other organisations in Scilly you can find all the details here.

We will be awarding some further money in the near future so stay tuned to 107.9fm and radioscilly.com for further updates.

Will spoke to PE teacher Adam May as well as Ashton, Jess and Ruby to find out more about the completion - listen below.
