A local author has just launched a new book based on the islands involvement in the 1st World War.
The Isles of Scilly In The Great War is written by Richard Larn OBE and with the foreword written the Duchy of Cornwall.
Richard joined will in the studio the week to talk about the book which details Scilly's contribution to the war effort, with attention to its civilian population, the heartbreak of losing forty-five of its sons and trauma of countless seamen rescued from torpedoed ship.
It's now available on St Mary's and on Tresco as well as online. Find out more and listen to Will chat to Richard about the book below.
