The Mali Rose could be making here way to Scilly very soon.

The Isles of Scilly Steamship Group’s (ISSG) new freight ship, the Mali Rose, began her sea trials today, ahead of the vessel entering service.

Following a refit, the Mali Rose was granted approval to go to sea by the regulatory authorities on Friday 14th July. The ship is carrying out her sea trials in the Mount’s Bay area today, Monday 17th July and tomorrow, Tuesday 18th July.

The first test sailing from Penzance to the Isles of Scilly will take place soon afterwards but only when the ISSG are satisfied that all necessary trials have been completed to their satisfaction.

Further updates from the ISSG will be announced in the coming days regarding the vessels progress and we're hoping to speak to the Chief Executive of the ISSG Rob Goldsmith in the near future for further details.
