Gig Champs Need Volunteers To Ensure Future Of The Event

The new Chairman of the World Pilot Gig Championships (WPGC) organising committee, Kevin Sherris spoke to Will on the Morning Show about this year's event and the future of the Gig Champs.

Kevin has stepped into the position after Rich Persich stepped down after 10 years of service and is taking on the mantle for this year only.

During the interview Kevin told Will he is looking for someone to shadow him this year with a view of taking on the position in a full capacity after this year's event which is just over a month away.

Kevin said "For the future of the championships, if it's to continue we do need a chairman. We also need understudies for for all the jobs we're actually participating in at the moment, because the average age of most of the members is about 60".
