Harbourmaster Dale Clark joined will on the phone for this week’s Harbour Report on Thursday's Morning Show.

It’s been a busy week for Dale and the team down on the quay as the main season is just about to get underway.

The Scillonian makes her maiden voyage to Scilly this Monday which is considered by many as the start of the main season in Scilly.

Final bits of maintenance are being carried out. The new outlet and work on the Atlantic slipway are going really well according to Dale and should be completed in the very near future. The new passenger walkway handrails have been installed ahead of the Scillonian’s first sailing and the tripper boats starting for the year at the beginning of April.

Tripper boats are starting to launch and the harbour is starting to get busier. The Falmouth divers continue with their work on the quay and are making good progress.

The Lyonesse Lady has returned to Scilly after being in dry dock on the mainland and is back in service and the Gry Maritha continues to make her regular trips to the islands.

The multi-cat vessel Sarah Grey have been over to Scilly to deliver generators and equipment for Western Power Distribution. This is due to the issue with power cable between Scilly and Mainland.

The Power Station on St Mary’s is generating full time according to Dale and these new generators are the back up for the Power Station due to the on-going work to fix the cable between Scilly and the Mainland.
