Over the last few days the Isles of Scilly Steamship Company have been monitoring the weather forecast for Saturday’s Scillonian III Sailing. Although the forecast is still changeable, there are likely to be strong winds and large swells on Saturday.
As a result, the journey could be uncomfortable and there is also the possibility of disruption to the Scillonian sailing.
Although no sailings have been cancelled at this time, If you're booked to travel on the Scillonian III on Saturday you may transfer to a sailing on a different date free of charge and where space allows. You're advised to contact the Travel Centre on 01736 334220 to discuss your options.
It was also announced today that the Scillonian III's onboard chiller will no longer be in operation for the remaining 12 scheduled sailings of the year.
All chilled freight items will be shipped on the Gry Maritha. To book chilled items please call the freight office on St Mary’s Quay on 01720 424230 or the Penzance Freight Office on 01736 334249.
