This week's wildflower was Common Mouse-Ear - Cerastium Fontanum.
Common Mouse-Ear is abundant and is found on all the inhabited and sometimes on the uninhabited islands. There are also two subspecies which is a whole new level of identification.
There are Stitchworts, Chickweeds and Sandworts, but we are concerned with Mouse-ears. We also get on the islands a Mouse-ear garden escape called Snow-in-summer and wild Sticky, Sea and Little mouse-ear, but the one you are most likely to see is appropriately named Common Mouse-Ear.
You can find out more about Common Mouse-Ear below and listen to next week's Isles of Scilly Wildflower of the Week on Wednesday at 10:30am.
