Saturday’s Scillonian sailing has been cancelled due to forecast adverse weather and sea conditions.
The Isles of Scilly Steamship Company said in a statement. “We have been reviewing the weather forecast regularly for the last few days but due to the current severe weather forecast, we have unfortunately been left with no option but to cancel the sailing.”
There will now be a double sailing on Sunday to accommodate Saturday’s cancelled sailing with an early sailing for Saturday’s passengers on Sunday with passengers booked for Sundays original sailing being put back to later in the day.
The additional sailing for Saturday’s passengers will depart Penzance at 08:30 with check in closing at 8:00 arriving at St Mary’s for approximately 11:30.
The Scillonian will depart St Mary’s at 12:45 with check in closing at 12:15 arriving in Penzance at approximately 15:30.
The next sailing is for passengers originally scheduled to sail on Sunday will depart Penzance at 16:15 with check in closing at 15:45 and will arrive at St Mary’s for approximately 19:00.
The Scheduled departure from the St Mary’s to Penzance is due to depart St Mary’s at 19:45 with check in closing at 19:15 and is due into Penzance for 22:30.
All Scillonian passengers may transfer to an alternative date where space allows free of charge or cancel with a full refund of the fare paid.
