Harbourmaster Dale Clark joined Will in the studio for this week’s Harbour Report on Thursday.
It may seem quiet in the habour with only a dozen or so vessels currently in the water but it’s been another busy week for Dale and team on quay, and around Scilly.
They’ve been busy with maintenance and the weather has been in general a bit more favorable and they’ve been out and about a bit more this week.
The engine for the Pegasus has been returned and she’s now being readied to launch. However due to the forecast she more than likely won’t be in the water until the beginning of the week.
While the Pegasus has been at Porthloo Boatyard they’ve been making the most of her being out the water and giving her good overhaul during the week.
It’s busy on the quay with the Gry Maritha making her scheduled 3 trips a week and an increase in freight with the build to Christmas in full swing.
The Lyonesse Lady is back on the water ahead of schedule and has resumed her duties.
Ongoing general maintenance continues and is going well and they’re got plenty coming up in the new year including a revamp to the waiting room on the quay as well all the paperwork and planning for 2017.
