The nationwide campaign “Stoptober” is well underway to get smokers to quit the habit for the month of October.
Louise Baker Dispense Manager and Stop Smoking Advisor for the Isles of Scilly Health Centre came in to the Studio to talk to Will on The Morning Show about the impact smoking can have on your health and services and support that are on offer in Scilly.
Louise said “it’s a month where people can reflect on their smoking and the idea is to give up for a whole month, and that will increase your chances to give up long term by 5 times.”
A drop in service takes places on the Isles of Scilly Health Centre at 5pm on weekdays where a whole host of options, alternative therapies and support are on offer. You can get in touch with Louise by calling the Health Centre on 01720 422628.
